To save race control time, please take these steps before raising any issues with us about activity privacy. The system will keep scanning periodically for up to 6 hours post race, so you have this window to try and resolve your private data issues yourself, although we would always recommend having settings correct before race start as retrospective changes cannot always be guaranteed to work. Should issues persist beyond 6 hours please raise any issues with race control.

The critical thing is that the ride is public, regardless of your general account settings.

Troubleshooting:

  1. Wait minimum 2 hours after session (not race) finish to ensure the system has had time to process the file correctly (note also, if you change your settings per the steps below, you may then have to wait another 2 hours for the system to scan again).

  2. Check your individual activity is public when saving. Regardless of your account settings, these can override and make an activity private, this is the most common error:

  1. If this doesn't work, set your whole profile public (this may not always be necessary but is a "belts and braces" step). This is the "approve follow requests" toggle in your companion app profile. At the same time you can ensure the default activity privacy setting is public.

  1. Use Zwiftpower to check your activities are now public. Your activity bolt will be blue for public, green for private.
  2. If after completing all these steps your future activities still appear private when using ZP as a check, please contact Zwift support for help.
  3. Only contact race control if you have completed all the above steps, your ZP activities are showing public, and ladder events are still showing private.
