This is a temporary information page relating to women’s ladder. Women’s ladder operates to a set of rules broadly similar to the mixed ladder, therefore all rules and guidance can be found in the main rule book.
Structure
Women’s ladders are structured as part of the overall ladder structure, meaning they can choose to participate as part of the wider regional or global ladder should they wish to.
Upon entering, each team will select one of the following categories:
- Mixed: Part of the mixed ladder.
- Women’s: Can challenge any team within range globally, but may only be challenged by other women's teams
Note: Presently only one women's ladder exists, nominally EMEA, however teams from any region may enter, on the expectation that most teams will prefer emea time slots.
Rule Differences
- Teams will be bound by a 3 rank spread of ZR mixed 30D rank, however ranks Emerald (3) to Diamond (1) will be treated as a single rank ie. A rank 1 rider in a women's team may also race with a rank 5 rider.
- Short term we will remove play on requirements for women’s teams, in order to get the league set up more quickly. Once the initial intake of teams was done, Play On would become active as normal.
- Teams can toggle between “mixed” and, “women’s team” during a transfer window only.
- Once active, a women's team can challenge any team within range globally (mixed or women’s), but may only be challenged by other women's teams.
